I don’t see pinko marketing as anything new. honestly - Since cluetrain, and what has happened in the world lately, it is a perfectly natural way of starting to market products.

If you read the silent revolution you have a pretty good guess at what went on pre- cluetrain. And what is still going on in emerging markets.

I believe in the silent revolution. People are feed up with mass- adverserting, pressed labour wages to get another advertisement on tv - and basically the exploitation of ressources.

Even though I am a marketing major, I hate using push strategies... I hate to have to sell something to somebody’s face. I would rather have customers come to me and buy something. Like a grocery in a small town, where they are buying from me, because there isn’t anyone else.

Now, this is not exactly how the world looks is it ? – we have more competitors than ever, and we need creativity more than ever, especially in our businesses – and hence also marketing.

Pinko Marketing is extremely creative and unstructured. You can’t get a guarantee that the product you are trying to sell to a community ( by being a part of a community) is going to work.
Actually if people start to smell ” im in it for the money, and not for the community” – I don’t believe that you will get anything sold. Well, at least not to me. You have to convince me that you are a part of something bigger than selling. If you win over my thoughts, if you comment on my blog, if you comment on my pictures.

If I can see that you are trying really hard to mesmerize me, I will be flattered.

YOU have to become the live web. Not the static web. Let me know you are here, and you participate and act. Don’t observe only. And the result might be that I will spare some of my precious time, to listen to what you have to say – and why you believe that your product should be bought by me.
