A collection of some early thoughts, this wiki could address;
- the manifesto proposes a wonderful vision of the future; smarter contributers than I will help to really define that vision. But now we have to get our hand dirty, and explain how to get there from here. Following the commie metaphor, the Bolsheviks overthrew the government during the October uprising. This happened because the difference between the "manifesto" and the then government was too extreme. So we can fire all the marketing departments, and agencies, but then what?
- Its relatively easy to consider the vision in the context of startups, but what about Auto manufacturers, Banks, Fast food outlets. They need to do something different - what is that?
- Anti communists who take this message the wrong way. The point here is not to deal with political persuasions, despite the pont that the compelling nature of this vision is embodied in the "pinko" moniker.
So some points I believe the Wiki would benefit others by addressing:
- complete the vision, and don't let the following points detract from that.
- what should marketers do ?
- within a corporation, which group(s) are involved?
- what should we do with the marketing departments and the corporate communications departments?
- What should do they do to embody the vision?
- what are the small steps now, that will aid the evo(revo)lution
